Docteur en biologie au sein de l’institut Narilis de l’UNamur, Francesco Renzi vient d’obtenir un mandat de chercheur qualifié FNRS. Ses recherches ont principalement pour objectif de comprendre le fonctionnement des bactéries et plus particulièrement de la bactérie Capnocytophaga canimorsus présente dans la salive des chiens. Celle-ci est un danger potentiel pour l’homme puisqu’en cas de morsure ou griffure par un animal porteur, il peut développer une septicémie conduisant dans 30% des cas au décès.
A postdoc and a PhD positions are open in the Hallez lab
- The postdoc position is funded for 2 yearsand should start before June 2019. The candidate will hold a PhD degree in Molecular Biology, Microbiology or Biochemistry. Experience in bacterial genetics and/or biochemistry is highly recommended. The candidate must be in an international mobility status, that is she/he cannot have resided or worked in Belgium for more than 24 months in the last 3 years.
