Régis Hallez

Our group is interested in understanding how bacterial cell cycle and development are controlled and coordinated, with a special emphasis on the modulation of these processes in response to fluctuations in nutrient availability. Our bacterial models are the free-living alphaproteobacterium Caulobacter crescentus, the gamma-proteobacterium Escherichia coli and the intracellular pathogen Brucella abortus.
